Short answer: pest control is safe for pets and kids when a licensed technician selects the right product for the property and applies it away from where kids and pets spend time, then gives you a specific drying or re-entry time for that treatment. The risk is almost always DIY products misused, not professional treatment done properly.

What "pet and kid safe" actually means
It does not mean weaker treatment. It means the technician chooses the right product for the pest and the property, then applies it in a way that keeps kids and pets away from it while it works. That includes where we spray, how much, and what we tell you to keep clear of afterwards. A safe treatment and an effective treatment are the same treatment, done properly.
Products and methods we use around families
We carry a range of products because no single one suits every job. Around homes with young kids, pets, fish tanks or anyone with a specific sensitivity, we adjust the product and the application areas accordingly, and we will always ask before the visit if anything in the home needs special consideration.
Before and after: what actually matters
Keep pets and kids away from any area we are actively treating while we are there. After that, follow the specific drying or settling time we give you for that treatment, which is usually a matter of hours, not days. We will tell you the real number on the day rather than a vague blanket rule.
Where DIY sprays and bombs go wrong
The most common problem we see is not a professional treatment done badly, it is a supermarket fogger or bomb set off in a closed house with a pet still inside, or a spray applied right next to a pet's bowl or bedding without reading the label properly. If you are treating pests yourself between professional visits, read the label fully and keep pets and kids clear of the treated area for the time it states, every time, no shortcuts.

Yes. Licensed technicians use family and pet safe treatment methods and select products based on what is actually in the home, including pets, kids and any specific health concerns you flag before the visit.
Do I need to leave the house during a pest treatment?
Usually not for a standard general pest treatment, though we will tell you if a specific product or area needs time to dry or settle before pets and kids go back on it. We always explain this on the day, not as a generic disclaimer.
How long until it is safe for kids and pets back on treated carpet or floors?
It depends on the product and the area treated, typically once any applied product has dried. We tell you the specific timeframe for your treatment before we leave, rather than a one size fits all number.
Are eco or green pest products actually safer?
Not automatically. The label matters less than correct application by someone trained in it. A supermarket eco spray misused around a fish tank or a pet's food bowl can still cause a problem, while a properly applied standard treatment kept away from those areas is safe. Safety comes from method and placement, not the marketing on the bottle.
